Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s plane narrowly escaped being hit by a drone attack while taking off from Moldova on Tuesday. Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gar Storey made this claim while talking to state TV on Wednesday. According to Storey, Zelensky’s plane was about to take off from Moldova when the drone came close to it. However, he did not disclose the distance of the drone and the source of the information. Zelensky was traveling to Oslo to attend the funeral of Norway’s King Harald V. Zelensky’s plane took off after the drone fell. Zelensky’s plane was parked at Chisinau International Airport. Moldova closed airspace following drone alert, delaying aircraft flights. Officials later confirmed the Russian drone had fallen in Moldova, after which the aircraft was given clearance to fly.
