Ishan Kishan’s East Zone dominated the proceedings on Day 1 of the contest.
Abhimanyu Easwaran and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi got off to a terrific start. In fact, Abhimanyu beat Vaibhav to reach the first fifty of the match.
After the dismissal of the duo, No.3 Shikhar Mohan and captain Ishan Kishan took over the scene and added another 94 runs between themselves.
After Shikhar’s dismissal at 85, Ishan took over the scene and aggressively scored 111* to guide East to a strong total.
