Delhi Building Collapse Live Updates: A five-storey boys’ paying guest (PG) accommodation, named as “Hostel Daze”, collapsed in Delhi’s Satya Niketan near Delhi University’s South Campus on Sunday afternoon.
The building collapsed at around 1:30 pm, with fire services receiving the call at about 1:33 pm and rescue teams reaching the spot by around 1:50 pm. The structure stood in a congested by lane near a Shiv temple in the RK Puram/Moti Bagh area.
Locals and officials said the building was being used as a student PG/hostel, with roughly 15 rooms and two to three students in each room.
As of Monday morning, the death toll had risen to six, with search and rescue operations continuing amid heavy debris. Officials had reported five deaths on Sunday evening, while around 10–12 people were rescued and AIIMS Trauma Centre received 10 injured patients.
Around 20–25 students may still be trapped, with some residents saying they received calls from people under the rubble.
