South Africa defeated Zimbabwe by 43 runs in the fourth match of the Namibia T-20 Tri Series. With this the team moved closer to the finals. Africa is on top of the points table with 4 points from three matches. In the match played at Namibia Cricket Ground, South Africa won the toss and decided to bat first. With the help of Luan-Dre Pretorius’ 94 runs, the team scored 185 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Zimbabwe team was all out for 142 runs in 17.4 overs. Pretorius-Brevis made a partnership of 86 runs. Opener Luan-Dre Pretorius played an inning of 94 runs in just 51 balls. He hit 12 fours and 3 sixes in his innings. Pretorius along with Dewald Brevis made a partnership of 86 runs for the second wicket. Wesley Madhewere took maximum 3 wickets for Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe lost 8 wickets for 66 runs. Zimbabwe had a very bad start. The team had lost 8 wickets for 66 runs till the 10th over. Captain Sikandar Raza played the highest innings of 45 runs. Apart from them, Newman Nyamahuri scored 27 runs, Innocent Kaya scored 18 runs and Brian Bennett scored 11 runs. For South Africa, captain Bjorn Fortuin took 4 wickets for 24 runs. Whereas Duane Yanson took 3 wickets. Three matches left Three matches are left in the series. On Thursday, Zimbabwe will face host Namibia, while on Friday there will be a clash between South Africa and Namibia.
