The number of missing people is continuously increasing after the massive floods in Nepal on Wednesday. By Friday night the figure reached close to 2400. Whereas till now bodies of 586 people have been found. According to Nepal’s Prime Minister Balen Shah, 15,431 security personnel are deployed in the relief and rescue operations. So far 4,451 people have been rescued. The rescue operation is going on continuously with 16 helicopters of the army and private companies. According to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, 320 Indians have not been able to be contacted after the floods. About 400 Indians are stranded in China and the Indian Embassy is in touch with them. Apart from this, 149 Indians have reached Nepal from China. Meanwhile, Infosys Public Services CEO Lax Gopisetti is also reported missing. The company said on Friday night that Gopisetti had gone to Nepal for personal work. But they could not be contacted after the flood. Here, Nepal has agreed to take help from rescue teams of other countries. Nepal has also sought the help of 10 70 meter long bailey bridges from India and China to restore traffic in the affected areas. PM Balen said that till now more than 190 crore Nepali rupees have been deposited in the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund.
