Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has decided to increase the price of CNG in Delhi by Rs 3.89 per kg. The new rates will be applicable from 6 am on August 29, 2026.

After this increase in Delhi CNG The old price will increase from Rs 83.09 per kg to Rs 86.98 per kg.

According to the press note issued by IGL, the movement of LNG cargo through the Strait of Hormuz has been affected due to the re-escalation of the West Asia crisis from July 2026. Due to this, global LNG prices have almost doubled compared to the pre-crisis level.

Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) said on Friday that Delhi And in nearby cities, the price of CNG will increase by Rs 3.89 per kg from Saturday.

IGL said in a statement that a large part of the gas required for CNG is met by imported LNG, and its prices have increased since the conflict in West Asia began.

IGL said, international LNG prices remain high and its impact on costs has increased significantly. Therefore, to partially compensate for the increase in the cost of CNG, it has now become necessary to increase it by Rs 3.89 per kg. This change in CNG prices will come into effect from 6 am on Saturday.
