Actor Abhay Verma is excited about the new phase of his career. Abhay, who will be seen with Rasha Thadani in ‘Laiki Laika’, calls it a different kind of love story, which also has action. Working with stalwarts like Hansal Mehta and Lijo Jose Pellissery in ‘Dilkashi’ and getting the music of AR Rahman is like a dream come true for him.

He considers the increasing female following as a guarantee of love and respect. While talking to Dainik Bhaskar, Abhay also spoke candidly on relationships, marriage, Genji and technology. Here are some highlights.

Abhay Verma shared his experience of working with Rasha Thadani in ‘Laiki Laika’ and the film.

Question: Working with Rasha Thadani in ‘Laiki Laika’. How is this movie?

answer: This is a very different kind of love story. I am thankful to the producers who trusted me at such a young age even though I have no film background. “Laiki Laika” has action along with love story. This is the story of two people who want to rise above their circumstances and live their lives. Its director is Saurabh Gupta and he has written the story. I am very excited about this film.

Question: How was the experience of working with Hansal Mehta in ‘Dilkashi’?

answer: Hansal sir is a legendary filmmaker of our times. We have grown up watching his films. Getting a chance to work with him, sit and talk and eat with him is a big thing for me. The funny thing is that he is actually not as serious as he appears. He is a very funny person.

It was a great experience sitting with him and talking about the film and the story. This film is being directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery sir. He is also a legendary director and his films have gained recognition at the international level. ‘Dilkashi’ is a very different kind of musical love story.

Abhay Verma described AR Rahman’s music as very special, said – ‘Tu Koi Aur Hai’ gave support in difficult times.

Question: How special is AR Rahman’s music to you and how did your dream of working with him come true?

answer: The most special thing is that AR Rahman sir is giving the music of ‘Dilkashi’. Rahman sir’s music has a very personal meaning for me. When I was going through my difficult times, his song ‘Tu Koi Aur Hai’ from ‘Tamasha’ was my favorite and that song supported me a lot. I had a dream in my mind that someday my face would be in a film and its music would be by Rahman Sir. Now that dream seems to be coming true through ‘Dilkashi’.

Question: Your female following is continuously increasing. How do you see it?

answer: I look at it with love and respect. People’s love is my greatest happiness. I consider it a disloyalty. The viewers can give this trust whenever they want and can give more love from their treasure whenever they want. My job is to work so hard that I keep getting this love again and again. The love I have received so far has not reduced my hunger, rather it has increased it further.

On the increasing female following, Abhay Verma said- The love of the audience is a trust for me, I will keep working hard to maintain it.

Question: How should your ideal partner be?

answer: First of all, I am 100% single. If I have a partner, I would like her to do her work openly, wear whatever she wants and live her life the way she wants. He should understand and respect my work. I will also respect his work and his family. Whatever we become, our parents’ upbringing plays a big role in it. That’s why I want both of us to respect each other’s parents as much as they deserve.

Question: Are there any plans for marriage or relationship at the moment?

answer: Right now I am very dedicated to my work. The rest of the things are small for me at the moment. If I have a partner in the future, I want her to live her life freely, do her work with complete freedom and I fully support her. I also want him to respect my work and my parents as much as I would respect his work and his family.

Question: How do you view Genji i.e. your generation?

answer: There have been good and bad people in every generation. Today we have a lot of technology and many ways to express ourselves. I don’t find anything wrong in this. It is just important that we do not forget our values ​​and respect for elders. This is not just respect for age but also for values. Technology can become our strength as well as weakness. The only difference is how much we let it dominate us.

Abhay Verma said on Gen Z – Social media and technology are strengths, just do not let them dominate you.

Question: What is your special message to Genji?

answer: Just because we were born in this generation and have social media and technology doesn’t mean we’re wrong. We have got these tools and their use is in our hands. If we use them properly, we can bring about very positive changes. Technology is both a strength and a weakness. What matters is how much we let it dominate us.

Question: What would today’s Abhay say to the young Abhay of Panipat?

answer: I would tell him not to regret the things that did not happen. What happened is a blessing and what didn’t happen is also a blessing of some kind, because it teaches you something. I believe that God’s plan is bigger than what we think. Keep your intentions clear.

If your intention is clear then you may also get a chance to sit with your idol and work with them. Don’t be sad about what didn’t happen. Maybe something big is waiting for you.

Question: What is your biggest dream right now?

answer: I want to ‘sell dreams’. If after seeing my acting a person starts believing in his dream and works a little harder for it, then there will be no bigger achievement than this for me. I want people of my generation to understand the importance of their dreams and move forward to fulfill them.
