The last match of the two-match Test series between India and Sri Lanka is being played in Colombo. Wednesday is the fourth day of the match. Sri Lanka will play ahead with the score of 265/8 in the first innings. He is 238 runs behind India’s first innings score of 503/9.
The match will start at 10:00 am at Sinhalese Sports Club. Sri Lanka still needs to score 37 runs to save the follow-on. Sonal Dinusha is unbeaten on 85 and Lahiru Kumara is unbeaten on 8 runs. Play was stopped twice due to rain on the third day. Rain is expected on the fourth day.
Morkel said on Pant’s injury – will keep an eye throughout the night
Due to injury to Rishabh Pant, Dhruv Jurel kept wicket in his place on the third day. Pant is injured on his right shoulder. Also, on the first day, he was hit by a ball on his wrist, after which he retired hurt.
On his injury, Indian bowling coach Morne Morkel said that it is expected that he will be seen behind the wicket on the fourth day. He said that the medical team will keep an eye on Pant’s condition throughout the night.
Morkel described fast bowler Prasidh Krishna as a world class bowler. He described Prasidh’s extra pace and bounce as his plus point. Prasidh took 3 wickets for 47 runs in 14 overs. He dismissed Kamil Mishara, Kamindu Mendis and Lahiru Udara.

India has a chance to take a big lead
India can get a big lead of 200+ runs on the fourth day. However, the team will have to take the last 2 wickets quickly. If Sri Lanka reaches 302 runs, it will save the follow-on.
India declared the first innings at 503 runs for 9 wickets. Sri Lanka has scored 265 runs for 8 wickets in 83.4 overs.
To force Sri Lanka to follow on, India will have to restrict it before 302 runs.
Dinusha and Suriyabandara’s Fifty
Sonal Dinusha has scored unbeaten 85 runs on 137 balls. He made a partnership of 57 runs for the eighth wicket with Keshara Nuvantha. He has added unbeaten 35 runs for the ninth wicket with Lahiru Kumara.
Pasindu Suriyabandara played an inning of 80 runs for Sri Lanka. Kamindu Mendis scored 32 runs and Dhananjay de Silva scored 8 runs. For India, Prasidh Krishna and Manav Suthar have taken 3 wickets each. Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammad Siraj got one success each.

Jurel’s century in India’s first innings
India declared the first innings at 503/9. Dhruv Jurel scored unbeaten 115 runs in 177 balls. Devdutt Padikkal played an inning of 117 runs. Rishabh Pant scored 63 runs and captain Shubman Gill scored 50 runs.
