Britain will give its secret missile technology to Ukraine to help in the war against Russia. This will pave the way for manufacturing long-range SCALP cruise missile in Kiev itself. In Britain this missile is called Storm Shadow.
British Prime Minister Andy Burnham arrived in Ukraine on Monday on his first foreign trip. Meanwhile, an announcement has been made to share missile technology. He will meet President Volodymyr Zelensky.
France and Ukraine plan to launch a SCALP production line in Ukraine by the end of this year. This will help Ukraine to understand the missile technology and manufacture it in the country.

550 kilometer range missile
SCALP is made by European arms company MBDA. It is a long-range cruise missile launched from aircraft. Its strike range is about 550 kilometers. About 400 kg of heavy explosive can be installed in it.
The weight of the missile is about 1,300 kg and length is about 5.10 meters. It is designed to attack pre-determined targets. It can attack no matter what the weather or day or night.
After being released from the aircraft, this missile flies very close to the ground and reaches its target. It has technology to find the route from satellite, identify the area and identify the target by heat. With this, it tries to reach the target while avoiding enemy air defense.
Russia warns Britain of retaliatory action
Russia has expressed strong displeasure over this decision of Britain. The Russian Embassy in Britain said that Britain is deliberately escalating the war in Ukraine. The embassy warned that the more Britain’s involvement in the war increases, the greater the price it will have to pay.
On the other hand, Andy Burnham said that his country will stand with Ukraine for a long time. He said that the security of Ukraine is linked to the security of Britain.
Ukraine is also making long range missiles itself
Ukraine has also increased its capacity to produce long-range missiles and drones. Ukrainian company Fire Point has developed the FP-5 Flamingo cruise missile with a range of about 3,000 km.
According to President Zelensky, this missile was used to attack an important rocket electronics factory about 900 km inside Russia.
Ukraine’s growing long-range strike power is now becoming a challenge for Russia as well. According to Peter Dickinson of the Atlantic Council, Russia’s vast territory, once considered its strength, is now becoming its weakness due to Ukraine’s increasing long-range attacks.
