A new revelation has come to light regarding Deepika Padukone’s exit from Prabhas’ film ‘Spirit’. Prannoy Reddy Vanga, brother of the film’s producer and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, claimed in an interview to news channel NTV that Deepika was removed from the film.
He told that Deepika had asked for 10 percent share in the profits of the film along with huge fees. When the makers did not accept her demand and started looking for other options, the actress leaked information related to the story and character of the film.
‘Asked for 10% stake, then leaked the story’ Prannoy Reddy Vanga told that his brother Sandeep Reddy Vanga was in talks to cast Deepika in the film for about one and a half years. But Deepika put a condition of 10 percent profit share along with higher fees.
Prannoy said that this demand was not fitting into the budget of the makers. When the makers started thinking of casting another star, Deepika leaked the plot of the film. According to Pranay, Sandeep was very angry due to the leaking of the story.

‘What kind of feminism is this, leaking the story?’ Prannoy Reddy Vanga targeted Deepika in the interview without taking her name. He said that while narrating a story to any actor, the makers trust him completely and there is an unspoken agreement between the two.
Prannoy raised the question that what kind of feminism is it to humiliate a young actor and leak the story of the makers’ years of hard work. After Deepika’s exit from the film, Trupti Dimri has now been signed opposite Prabhas.
On the other hand, Deepika Padukone has a different stand on this entire controversy. In an interview given to CNBC-TV18 in 2025, Deepika had said that she always fights her battles silently, but for some reason things come out.

This action film starring Prabhas and Trupti Dimri will be released in theaters on 5 March 2027 on the occasion of Eid. There will be a big clash at the box office on this day.
