This video of firing in a school in the Philippines is viral on social media.
There was a shooting in a school in Zamboanga city of the Philippines on Tuesday. A student shot another student from his own school. After this he also committed suicide. Two security guards also died in the firing, while 9 people were injured.
The incident occurred at the school campus of Ateneo de Zamboanga University. Police say that the accused student had also shown some part of the attack live on Facebook. After the incident, there was panic in the school and the students were taken to safe places.

After the firing, students were seen leaving the school premises.
First shot at the teacher, then targeted the student
According to the police, the accused was Mohammad Mail Jalani, a class 9 student. He had reached school with two pistols.
Investigation revealed that he first fired at a teacher, but the bullet did not hit him. After this he shot a class 10 student. Then he went to the upper floor of the school and committed suicide by jumping from there.
Philippines Home Affairs Minister Johnvic Remulla said that the accused was doing Facebook Live while climbing the stairs.
After the incident, the school has closed senior high school classes for some time.
The school said that small children have been kept safe. All the children have been counted and are under the supervision of their teachers.
The police have appealed to the parents to trust the information given by the school instead of panicking.
Affected people will get mental help
The Philippines’ Department of Education has said that necessary assistance will be provided to students, families and school staff affected by the incident.
For this, counseling and mental health related assistance will also be provided, so that people can come out of this shock.
The department has also asked people not to share unverified news, photos and videos on social media.
Second major incident of firing in two months
This is the second major school shooting in the Philippines in about two months.
Earlier in June, three students were killed and more than 20 people were injured in a shooting at a school in Tacloban city.
After the latest incident, questions have again started being raised regarding the security of schools and the access of weapons to students.
