Sonam Wangchuk Protest LIVE: Central Secretariat Metro Station Reopens After Temporary Closure

Sonam Wangchuk Parliament March LIVE Updates: Activist Sonam Wangchuk and Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Monday called off their hunger strike as Union Minister JP Nadda met a delegation of CJP members.

Nadda met the delegation, led by CJP spokespersons Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, who submitted a written memorandum outlining the group’s demands.

Earlier in the day, CJP supporters gathered at Jantar Mantar before marching towards Parliament, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in the NEET examination and broader reforms in the education system. The march proceeded despite Delhi Police denying permission for the demonstration and imposing security arrangements around the Parliament complex.

As protesters attempted to march towards Parliament, police deployed crowd-control measures to ensure the demonstration remained orderly. Security was tightened across central Delhi, traffic restrictions were imposed and several Metro stations were temporarily closed.

Earlier, Sonam Wangchuk had said he would end his hunger strike if Members of Parliament assured him that the issue of education accountability would be taken up during the Monsoon Session, which began on Monday.
