A major development has come to light amid increasing tension between America and Iran. A merchant ship carrying Indian sailors was attacked in the Strait of Hormuz. The name of the ship which was targeted is being told as GFS Galaxy. It is a cargo ship operating under the flag of Cyprus, which carries cargo through containers. According to the information, there were 11 Indian crew members on board the ship. This ship had departed from Sohar port in Oman and was to reach Jebel Ali Port in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). However, the ship was attacked when it was passing through the Strait of Hormuz. America claims that this merchant ship was targeted by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Due to the attack, the ship caught fire and its engine was heavily damaged. After the incident, 10 out of 11 Indians were rescued safely, while one Indian crew member is still reported missing. His search and rescue operation is going on.
