Anshula Kapoor and Rohan Thakkar concluded their wedding celebrations with a grand reception in Mumbai on Tuesday, two days after they got married on July 6. The event brought together family members, close friends and several film personalities, with singer and composer Himesh Reshammiya performing live for the guests, the newlyweds and Anshula’s brother Arjun Kapoor.
The reception featured several moments that later surfaced on social media, including Himesh’s performing at the wedding, Orry sharing inside photographs from the evening, and Alia Bhatt posing with him at the venue. Arjun Kapoor also stepped out to greet the paparazzi at the end of the night, thanking them for covering the celebrations and asking them to have dinner before leaving and head home safely in the rain.
Orry offered a glimpse inside the reception through photographs from the night. The pictures showed him with several guests, including Khushi Kapoor, Rekha, Boney Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, filmmaker Atlee and his wife Priya. Alia Bhatt was also seen posing with Orry in cheerful photographs from the reception.
The reception was attended by members of the Kapoor family, including Boney Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Shanaya Kapoor. Among the film personalities present were Rekha, Varun Dhawan, Bobby DeolRakul Preet Singh, Atlee, Shabana Azmi, Himesh ReshammiyaJackky Bhagnani, Jackie Shroff, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza.
Himesh Reshammiya’s performance was one of the highlights of the evening, with videos from the reception showing him singing his popular tracks I have made you my lover. and Jahalak Ja. The newlyweds, along with Arjun Kapoor, were seen grooving to Himesh hits.
Ranveer Singh was also among the guests, who joined Arjun Kapoor and Himesh Reshammiya on stage.

Arjun was seen playing host at the reception as he greeted photographers with folded hands and posed for pictures. Dressed in a traditional outfit, he thanked the media for covering his sister’s wedding celebrations. As the reception took place amid heavy rain in Mumbai, he asked the photographers to wrap up, eat before leaving and travel home safely. Arjun appeared emotional and happy as Anshula celebrated the occasion with family and friends.
The reception also featured a table arranged with retro cassette tapes, old-school sweets and vintage memorabilia, including cassettes such as Pop of the Pops, adding a dose of 90s nostalgia to the celebrations. In one of the inside photographs, Rohan Thakkar was seen in a T-shirt that read, ‘Boyfriend + Fianc = Husband, EST. 2026.’ The couple were also seen dancing at the reception.
Anshula Kapoor and Rohan Thakkar, who began dating in 2022 and got engaged on October 2, 2025, tied the knot on Monday before ending the celebrations with the Mumbai reception.
