On this occasion, he shared this information by sharing a post on social media. This stadium is built in the Fairplex located in the city of Pomona in Los Angeles County, California. This will be the home ground of Los Angeles Knight Riders (LAKR) in Major League Cricket (MLC), which was built in just 100 days. After the construction of the stadium, Shahrukh Khan wrote on Instagram, “What was a dream has become a reality today. Welcome all of you to the Knight Riders Cricket Ground in Los Angeles.” He said that this ground is designed for cricket as well as entertainment, families and memorable moments. He thanked ICC Chairman Jay Shah and CEO Sanjog Gupta for their cooperation in this project. Shahrukh said that this cricket ground is dedicated not only to the people of Los Angeles, but to the cricket fans around the world and the entire Knight Riders family. He also reiterated his message “Believe in Purple and Gold”. American cricketer Ali Khan was seen in the video shared by Shahrukh. Ali Khan was born in Pakistan and plays for the United States (USA) team at the international level. He is also a part of the LA Knight Riders in the Major League Cricket (MLC). Former West Indies players Dwayne Bravo and Sunil Narine also appeared in the video. Connection to Olympics 2028: This stadium is considered very important for the return of cricket in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics. It will be a major venue to host the upcoming Olympic matches. World-Class Infrastructure According to Gulf News, 8 wickets (pitches) have been prepared on the main square of this ground. In this, as per ICC rules, boundary and six floodlight towers of 120 feet height have been installed. Los Angeles Knight Riders’ performance in MLC Los Angeles Knight Riders (LAKR) started playing in the first season of Major League Cricket held in the year 2023. In 2023, the team finished at the bottom (6th place) in the points table. There was a slight improvement in 2024. The team finished 5th, but could not make it to the playoffs due to low net run rate.
