Asian markets are up today

  • Asian markets are witnessing a rise today. Japan’s Nikkei is up 0.34%. South Korea’s Kospi is up 1.38% and Taiwan Weighted is up 0.13%. However, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index is witnessing a decline of 1.18%.
  • According to provisional data available on NSE, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) bought shares worth ₹2,575.85 crore on Friday (July 5). Meanwhile, Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) sold shares worth ₹2,375.18 crore during this period.
  • The US markets were closed yesterday i.e. on July 4 on the occasion of America’s Independence Day. Earlier on Wednesday, the Dow Jones closed at 39,308, up 23.85 (0.06%) points. The NASDAQ closed at 18,188, up 159.54 (0.88%) points.

Sensex reached from 70 thousand to 80 thousand in 7 months
On July 3, the Sensex crossed 80 thousand for the first time. It took 7 months for the Sensex to reach from 70 thousand to 80 thousand. On December 11, 2023, the Sensex was at 70 thousand, which has now reached 80 thousand on July 3.

At the same time, it took more than 2 years for the Sensex to reach 70 thousand from 60 thousand. This year so far, the Sensex has seen a growth of 10% and 22% in the last 1 year.

Yesterday the market made an all time high
Earlier yesterday, on July 4, the stock market made an all-time high for the third consecutive day. During trading, the Sensex touched the level of 80,392 and the Nifty touched the level of 24,401. However, after this there was a decline and the Sensex closed at the level of 80,049 with a gain of 62 points.

At the same time, Nifty also rose by 15 points. It closed at the level of 24,302. Out of the 30 shares of Sensex, 15 saw a rise and 15 saw a fall. IT, banking and power shares saw a greater rise.
