Commercial cylinders have become cheaper by an average of Rs 180 from today i.e. July 1. It is available for ₹ 2930 in Delhi. Now the limit of filling only 200 liters of diesel in a vehicle in a day at petrol pumps has been lifted. Apart from this, getting passport made or re-issued has now become expensive. Fee for ordinary passport increased from ₹1,500 to ₹2,500.

1. Commercial gas cylinder cheaper by Rs 180

shift: Oil companies have made commercial gas cylinders cheaper by an average of Rs 180. Its price in Delhi has become ₹ 2930. Earlier it was available for ₹ 3113.50.

Effect: Due to reduction in the price of commercial cylinders, the expenses of restaurant owners will reduce. In such a situation, they can buy tea, breakfast and thali cheaply. Wedding catering can also be cheap.

2. Limit on sale of diesel removed from July 1

shift: Now the limit of filling only 200 liters of diesel in a vehicle in a day at petrol pumps has been removed, that is, now you will be able to fill as much diesel in your vehicle as you want. Along with this, the ban on factories and commercial buyers has also been removed.

The Petroleum Ministry had imposed these restrictions on June 11 due to the shortage of petrol and diesel, which have been withdrawn through a new order of June 29 after the supply improved. For the last 18 days, major consumers were buying fuel only from bulk sale points.

Effect: With this decision, common drivers, transporters and big commercial buyers will be able to fill as much diesel as per their requirement directly from petrol pumps. Apart from this, the fuel problem faced by factories and big consumers for the last 18 days will also end.

3. Making passport becomes expensive

shift: The central government has increased the passport fees, which has come into effect from July 1. Earlier in 2012, passport fees were increased. That means this increase has happened after 14 years.

Effect: Now, there will be a direct impact on the pockets of citizens getting a new passport or re-issuing an old passport and they will have to spend ₹ 1,000 to ₹ 2,000 more.

4. You will have to pay double fine for traveling without ticket in train

shift: The Railway Ministry has increased the minimum fine for traveling without a ticket in a train from ₹250 to ₹500. Now, if caught, the passenger will have to pay a charge of at least ₹500 along with the actual ticket fare. Additionally, if the case goes to a Magistrate Court and is found guilty, the punishment can be a maximum of 6 months in jail, a fine of ₹1,000, or both.

Effect: Now the pockets of passengers traveling without tickets will be hit doubly. For example, if the actual fare up to the checking point is ₹150:

  • Before (from the Old Testament): Fare ₹ 150 + fine ₹ 250 = total ₹ 400 had to be paid.
  • Now (from the New Testament): Fare ₹150 + fine ₹500 = total ₹650 to be paid.

5. Free update in Aadhar card

shift: UIDAI has removed the fee of ₹ 75 for updating email address on Aadhaar card from July 1. This service will remain free for the next six months i.e. till December 31, 2026. Charges will be taken again only after this time limit is over.

Effect: This decision will provide direct relief to crores of citizens who want to link or update their email ID in Aadhaar. Now they will be able to update their email address for free online or through designated centers without any additional charges.

6. Buying a car is expensive from today

shift: Most automobile companies have decided to increase the prices of their vehicles from July 1. Under this, Kia India has increased the range of all its vehicles by up to 2%, while Tata Motors is going to increase the prices by up to 1.5%.

Effect: From July 1, the burden on the pockets of customers buying new cars will increase and they will have to pay higher prices than before. For customers who like Tata Motors vehicles, it will now become expensive to buy electric cars along with traditional fuel vehicles.
