Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defence on Tuesday said its air force carried out airstrikes on alleged ISIS targets in Pakistan’s Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces, claiming the sites were being used to plan attacks against civilians inside Afghanistan, TOLOnews reported.
According to the reports, Afghan aircraft targeted an alleged ISIS joint centre in the Saranan area of Pishin district in Balochistan, along with other ISIS positions in the Shah Salim Valley of Chitral and Kambar Khel in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Several ISIS Fighters Killed In Airstrikes: Taliban
It claimed the strikes were carried out with precision, causing heavy casualties and significant material losses to ISIS while resulting in no civilian casualties.
The Ministry of Defence also stressed that any location used to undermine Afghanistan’s security will be targeted.
The sources told the broadcaster that a school in the Saranan area, which they alleged was being used by ISIS members and groups described as “agents of chaos and violence,” was among the targets.
The sources added that the strikes were ongoing and that several ISIS members and individuals affiliated with the group had reportedly been killed.
‘We Will Target Every Threat’
Meanwhile, the Afghan Defence Ministry said, “The air forces of the Afghan Ministry of Defence tonight conducted airstrikes on an ISIS joint centre and elements of evil and corruption in the Saranan area of Pushin district, Balochistan province.”
According to reports, Afghanistan’s Defence Ministry also warned Pakistan, “We will target every location that poses a threat to our security.”
