Ataullah Tarar said that Pakistan wants to maintain peace and stability in the region, but will not compromise on the safety of its citizens. Pakistan has carried out several attacks on and inside the Afghan border since last year. He says that the targets of these attacks have been the hideouts of TTP and other terrorist organizations. Pakistan has been alleging for a long time that the Taliban government of Afghanistan gives shelter to TTP terrorists. Kabul has consistently denied these allegations. Why fight between Pakistan and TTP? After America’s attack on Afghanistan in 2001, Pakistan supported America. This angered TTP, who considered it against Islam. TTP believes that the Pakistan government does not believe in true Islam, hence it attacks against it. TTP has deep links with the Afghan Taliban. Both groups support each other. After the Afghan Taliban came to power in 2021, Pakistan launched attacks in Afghanistan targeting TTP.
