In June 2024, the total asset under management (AUM) of mutual funds has reached ₹ 61.16 lakh crore for the first time, which was ₹ 58.91 lakh crore in May. According to the data released by the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI), ₹ 21,262 crore has been invested in mutual funds through SIP in the month of June.
Earlier in May, ₹20,904 crores were invested through SIP. Along with this, investment in equity mutual funds has increased by 17% in June. Last month, equity mutual funds saw an inflow of ₹40,608 crores. Whereas, ₹34,697 crores were invested in May. In the equity category, the highest amount of ₹22,353 crores was invested in the sectoral/thematic category.
