The Indian equity market is likely to begin the new week on a positive note, with the Gift Nifty trading 68 points higher at 24,117 around 8:40 am.
Asian markets traded mostly higher on Monday, with AI-driven technology stocks continuing to fuel gains. South Korea’s benchmark KOSPI rose 0.94% to 9,137.66, while Japan’s Nikkei 225 surged 2.05% to a record 72,711.36. Taiwan’s TAIEX jumped 2.87% to an all-time high of 47,796.51. In contrast, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index slipped 1.37%, or 326.75 points, to 23,598.06 amid profit booking, even as regional sentiment remained broadly positive.
