Gold Price Today, June 15: In Mumbai, prices of 24K gold surge by Rs 2,450 to Rs 1,51,530 per 10 grams, while that of 22K jump to Rs 1,38̮,900.

Gold Price Today, June 15: Gold prices surged on Monday, after the United States and Iran reached a deal to end the war that’s rattled global markets and stoked inflation in the past few months. In Mumbai, prices of 24K gold surged by Rs 2,450 to Rs 1,51,530 per 10 grams, while that of 22K jumped to Rs 1,38̮,900.

MCX gold futures for August 2026 delivery traded at Rs 1,52,692 per 10 grams, gaining 1.44%, at around 11:50 am. Silver prices also edged higher, with MCX silver futures for July 2026 delivery trading at Rs 2,51,593 per kg, up 2.20%.

In the international markets, gold rose more than 2% on Monday after US and Iran officials said they had reached an initial agreement to end their war, pushing oil prices lower and easing concerns about inflation and higher interest rates.

Spot gold climbed 2.5% to $4,323.29 per ounce by 0536 GMT, hitting its highest level since June 9 and extending gains for a third straight session. US gold futures for August delivery rose 2.5% to $4,343.80.

US and Iranian officials said on Sunday they had agreed on a framework to end their war, halt the U.S. blockade of Iran and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

The pact will be officially signed on Friday in Switzerland, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said in a post on X.

The US dollar fell to a 10-day low, making greenback-priced bullion cheaper for other currency holders, while oil prices slipped more than 4%.
