Urmila Matondkar’s ex-husband Mohsin Akhtar has got married for the second time. On Sunday, while sharing wedding pictures on Instagram, he said that he has married Nidha Bhatt. Mohsin wrote an emotional post while sharing glimpses of the wedding. She said that with true intentions, honest love and patience she has found love again in her life. Expressing gratitude to his wife Nidha Bhatt, he wrote that she has brought light to his life. Mohsin also remembered his deceased loved ones in his post and said that it is because of their prayers and blessings that he has got this new companionship in life. He also appealed to pray for both of them. Mohsin Akhtar’s first marriage was with actress Urmila Matondkar. Both of them got married in a private ceremony on 4 February 2016. At that time their marriage was in the news because of interreligious marriage and the age difference of 10 years between the two. In the year 2024, there were reports of tension in their relationship. In September 2024, it was said that Urmila had filed a divorce petition in a Mumbai court. Kashmiri businessman and model Mohsin first met Urmila in 2014 at the wedding of fashion designer Manish Malhotra’s niece. Urmila appeared as a child artist in films like Kalyug and Masoom. She debuted as a lead actress in 1991 with Narasimha. He worked in many films like Rangeela, Judaai, Satya, Kaun, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Bhoot and Ek Haseena Thi. Urmila was last seen on the big screen in 2018 in a special dance number (‘Bewafa Beauty’) in Irrfan Khan’s film Blackmail.
