1. Anthropic’s most advanced AI model closed worldwide: US government fearing cyber attack, ordered to stop access to foreign citizens
AI startup company Anthropic has discontinued its most advanced AI models ‘Cloud Fable 5’ and ‘Mythos 5’ worldwide. The company has taken this decision after the order of the US government, in which it was asked to ban the use of these models for foreign citizens.
Now no non-American citizen including Indians will be able to use them. American officials have cited the threat of national security and cyber attacks behind this. This is the first time a government has directly banned the use of AI software rather than hardware or chips.

2. Tata’s iPhone-parts factory accused of spreading pollution: Tamil Nadu Pollution Board warns of cutting power and closing the plant
The Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board has alleged that the waste water coming out of Tata Electronics’ iPhone components factory has contaminated the ground water of nearby fields.
The regulator has warned the company that if a satisfactory reply is not received, the power to the factory will be cut and it will be forcibly closed.

3. Petrol 4 and diesel 2 rupees cheaper in Pakistan: Petrol 373.78 and high-speed diesel 378.78 rupees per litre, new prices applicable from today.
The Government of Pakistan has reduced the price of petrol by Rs 4 and the price of High Speed Diesel (HSD) by Rs 2. Due to this, the price of one liter petrol here has come down to Rs 373.78 (Pakistani Rupee) and the price of diesel has come down to Rs 378.78 per liter. The new prices have come into effect from today i.e. June 13.

4. Approval of the conditions of 8th Pay Commission: Basic salary will be ₹ 45 thousand if fitment factor is 3; Benefit to 1.24 crore employees-pensioners
The Central Government has approved the terms and conditions i.e. Terms of Reference (TOR) of the 8th Pay Commission. After this, major changes are expected in the salary, pension and allowances of about 55 lakh serving employees and 69 lakh pensioners. The commission has been given 18 months time to submit its recommendations.

5. There was a decline in gold and silver this week: The price of silver decreased by ₹ 14326 to ₹ 2.43 lakh kg, gold became cheaper by ₹ 6438.
There was a decline in the prices of gold and silver this week. According to India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), the price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold has fallen by Rs 6,438 to Rs 1.48 lakh.
Earlier, it was at Rs 1.54 lakh last week i.e. on June 6. At the same time, silver has fallen from Rs 2.57 lakh per kg to Rs 2.43 lakh. That means its price decreased by Rs 14,326.
