Chinese actor Jin Ze has died at the age of 33, his agency, Shengshi Guangnian Culture Co., Ltd., confirmed on June 6. Alongside announcing the actor’s death, the agency urged the public and media to refrain from spreading unverified rumours or speculation and requested privacy for his family as funeral arrangements are being made.
In an official statement, the agency announced, “We announce with profound sorrow that our contracted actor Jin Ze (Zhang Jiawei) died at his home in Hangzhou on June 4, 2026.”
The company described Jin Ze as a promising actor and model and expressed condolences to his family. It also called for restraint online, urging the public and media to avoid circulating unverified information while his loved ones deal with the aftermath of the tragedy.
According to the Global Timesthe agency specifically appealed for privacy, asking netizens to refrain from speculation so that funeral arrangements could proceed without unnecessary public attention.
