Royal Challengers Bengaluru are unlikely to hold a victory parade in Bengaluru following their successful IPL 2026 title defence, according to PTI.
The franchise has reportedly decided against public celebrations to avoid a repeat of last year’s tragedy, when 11 fans lost their lives in a stampede near the M Chinnaswamy Stadium after RCB’s maiden title win.
The decision has also been influenced by security arrangements for Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar’s swearing-in ceremony.
An RCB source told PTI that the franchise intends to follow existing guidelines and police advisories regarding public celebrations.
