‘Police Not Interested In Recording My Statement’: Mother-In-Law’s Big Allegation In Twisha Murder Case

In the Twisha Sharma murder case, accused mother-in-law Giribala Singh alleged police is not bothered to record her statement and added that officials secretly filmed her home.

Amid the ongoing investigation into the Twisha Sharma murder case, accused mother-in-law Giribala Singh on Friday claimed that the police were not bothered to record her statement and alleged that “doctored” audio and video clips were being circulated in connection with the case.

Addressing the media, Giribala said, “We had welcomed our daughter-in-law with so much love. If I wanted to influence the case, I was even going to the office. Police personnel were also present, but they are not bothered to take my statement.”

‘Received First Notice Yesterday’

Quashing the reports of receiving two notices so far in the case, she said, “Police did not give me even a single notice earlier. The first notice came yesterday.”

“They could have recorded my statement. I never refused,” she added.

Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh police issued the third and final notice for recording of statement to Giribala Singh, PTI reported.

Referring to CCTV footage linked to the investigation, Giribala said she herself wanted to see what had happened inside the house. “I also wanted to see the CCTV footage myself to know what happened inside my house,” she said.

‘Investigators Secretly Recorded Videos Inside My House’

The accused further alleged that investigators entered her residence without transparency. “They entered my house and secretly recorded videos,” she claimed.

Rejecting allegations and viral material circulating online, Giribala said, “Those are doctored audio and video clips.”

On demands for a central probe, she stated that the family had no objection to a CBI investigation. “We have no objection to a CBI investigation,” she said, while also alleging that the local police were acting under pressure.

“The local police agency has come under their pressure,” she claimed.

‘How Would I Call DGP? I Don’t Even Know Him’

Responding to allegations regarding her purported calls to senior officials, Giribala denied any links with top police authorities. “How would I call the DGP? I don’t even know him,” she said.

Giribala also denied reports that she had failed to cooperate with investigators. “They are unnecessarily reporting that I am not going to the police station. I have not missed appearing three times,” she said.

On May 12, 33-year-old model turned actor, Twisha Sharma, was found hanging at her marital home in the Katara Hills area of Bhopal.

The family members of the Sharma accused her in-laws of dowry harassment. Meanwhile, the Singhs claimed that she was addicted to drugs.

An FIR was registered by the police under Sections 80(2), 85, and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita along with relevant sections of the Dowry Prohibition Act, and her husband Samarth Singh and mother-in-law Giribala Singh were named as accused.
