Cristiano Ronaldo finally lifted his first major trophy with Al Nassr after scoring twice in a decisive 4-1 victory over Damac FC on the final day of the Saudi Pro League season.
The win secured Al Nassr’s first league title since 2019, as they finished two points ahead of rivals Al Hilal. Ronaldo, now 41, delivered when it mattered most, scoring twice in the second half to cap a memorable evening that ended with emotional celebrations and tears from the Portuguese superstar.
Al Nassr had already taken control through goals from Sadio Mane and Kingsley Coman before Damac briefly threatened a comeback with a penalty from Morlaye Sylla. Ronaldo then restored order with a trademark free kick that curled through traffic into the net, before adding another late strike from close range.
Visibly emotional after being substituted near the end, Ronaldo received a standing ovation from supporters as Al Nassr celebrated their 11th league crown.
After the trophy presentation, Ronaldo posted a video on social media of himself and the team with the caption: “It means so much to us.” It also included the words “Yalla Nassr,” which, when translated from Arabic, means “Come on, Al Nassr!” and is a popular chant used by the team’s fans.

The title ends Ronaldo’s wait for major silverware since winning Serie A with Juventus FC in 2020. Since moving to Saudi Arabia in early 2023, he has become one of the central figures in the kingdom’s push to elevate the profile of its domestic league and broader sporting ambitions.
Ronaldo’s arrival opened the door for several high-profile stars, including Neymar and Karim Benzema, to join Saudi clubs in lucrative deals backed by the country’s Public Investment Fund.
The Portuguese icon has now won league titles in England, Spain, Italy and Saudi Arabia, while also edging closer to the remarkable milestone of 1,000 career goals, with his tally now standing at 973.
