In Ulhasnagar, Maharashtra, miscreants opened fire and killed two people on Thursday night, while one person was seriously injured. The incident took place in Kailash Colony area, where the attackers fled after firing about 15 rounds.
Police have cordoned off the area and started investigation. CCTV footage is being scrutinized and in the initial investigation old enmity is being considered as the reason for the attack. Several teams have been deployed to search for the accused.

Calcutta High Court refuses to ban animal slaughter rules in Bengal before Eid
The Calcutta High Court refused to stay the West Bengal government’s order ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, which has completely banned the slaughter of cow or buffalo without fitness certificate.
The court said that open slaughter of animals cannot be allowed and it is necessary to follow the law. The government has made it clear that animals can be slaughtered only in designated slaughterhouses and under prescribed rules.
ED arrested Captain Baba Kharat in black magic and fraud case
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Ashok Kharat alias ‘Captain’, who claims to be the incarnation of Lord Shiva, in Mumbai on charges of money laundering and fraud. Investigation revealed that he used to extort crores of rupees by showing people the fear of black magic and death.
In the raid, ED has recovered about Rs 14 crore in cash, foreign currency, gold and silver jewelery and luxury Mercedes car. The court has sent the accused to ED custody till May 26.
