CM Yogi said this in a program organized at Media House in Lucknow on Monday.
CM Yogi has warned against offering namaz on the streets a week before Bakrid in UP. In a program in Lucknow on Monday, he said – Namaz will not be allowed on the road. If you agree with love then it is okay, if you don’t agree then we will adopt another method. Yogi said-
.
If you want to offer Namaz then do it at the designated place. If the number is more then study in shifts. We will not stop Namaz, but will not allow anarchy on the road. Roads are not for offering namaz or gathering any kind of crowd.

He said- People ask me whether namaz is offered on the roads in UP? I say- absolutely not. Roads are for common people to walk. No one has the right to come and disturb the traffic.
Those people told me how will it happen sir, our numbers are more. We said- If you do not have space to live in your house, then control the number. If there is no capacity then why are the numbers being increased unnecessarily. Everyone has to live by the system. Everyone will have to follow the rule of law.

CM Yogi said in a media house program that the law is equal for everyone. No one will be given permission to create chaos.
Yogi said- People had tried their hand in Bareilly, they also saw the strength.
CM Yogi also mentioned the uproar in Bareilly. Said- People had tried their hand in Bareilly, they also saw the strength. Law is equal for all. No one will be given permission to block the road or create chaos.
Actually, there was a controversy in UP in September 2025 regarding I Love Mohammed. In Bareilly, Muslim leader Maulana Tauqeer Raza announced a protest after the prayers. When the police stopped, stones were pelted. After this the police lathicharged.
CM said- Earlier Katta-bombs were being made, now BrahMos missile is being made.
Referring to the development and investment of UP, Yogi said – Earlier the state was known by Katta and Bomb, but now BrahMos missile is being made here. If there is a negative environment, ‘one district-one mafia’ will arise. If there is a positive environment then ‘One District-One Product’ will be created. Investment is coming rapidly in UP. Employment is increasing. UP will soon become a 1 trillion dollar economy.
Women’s safety improved in UP
Yogi said- Earlier in UP, women were afraid to go out even during the day. Now she is working in night shift. Returning home safely. Now no one can molest a daughter. He said- UP is no longer a ‘sick state’ but has become a revenue surplus state. UP has been in revenue surplus continuously for the last 6 years.
Now the state does not need to extend its hands to anyone. UP has immense potential like agriculture, infrastructure and strength of youth. The government is working on balanced development of all 75 districts.
The issue of Namaz on the road was raised during the election campaign in Bengal.
CM Yogi had raised the issue of Namaz on the streets during the campaign for the recently concluded West Bengal Assembly elections. Accusing former Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee of doing appeasement politics, he had said that Didi offers namaz on the streets and bans Hindu festivals. No one can offer Namaz on the roads in UP. Roads are for transportation, not for prayers. No curfew, no riot, everything is fine in UP.

Yogi government had banned offering namaz on the road
Yogi government had completely banned namaz on the streets in 2022-2023. Ordered that Namaz will not be offered on the streets on Eid, Alvida Jumma or any other day. Religious programs should take place only inside Eidgah, mosques or designated religious places.
