The controversy over script theft of Dhurandhar 2 is now over. Santosh Kumar, who accused Aditya Dhar of stealing the script after filing a defamation case, has now apologized. Whereas in April he had claimed that Aditya Dhar made the film by stealing the script written by him. In a press conference held on March 30, Santosh Kumar called Aditya Dhar a thief and accused him of script theft. After this Aditya Dhar filed a defamation complaint against Santosh Kumar in the Bombay High Court. In the recent hearing, senior advocate Dr. Birendra Saraf, who is fighting Aditya Dhar’s case, said in the court that if Santosh Kumar gives assurance that he will not make any such defamatory remarks in future, then he is ready to resolve this matter. On this, Santosh Kumar’s lawyer presented an unconditional apology and assured that now no statement will be given against Aditya Dhar. After apologizing, Aditya Dhar refused to pursue the demand for defamation and damages. The court has accepted the apology of Santosh Kumar and dismissed the case. What was Santosh Kumar’s previous claim? Santosh Kumar claimed in the press conference held in March that he had written the script of Dhurandhar, but later Aditya Dar made Dhurandhar 2 on that story. He said, ‘You all must have seen that the film is doing very well. After watching this movie I came to know that this is my script. This is my story. I did it very hard. In 2023, I came here and narrated the story to many companies. I was told that if you want a big actor, bring a big corporate company. I went to Sony, went to Zee, went to T-Series, went to Dharma Productions. He further said, ‘I wanted Aditya Roy Kapur for the script of this film. I tried so hard. I sent the script to many directors. I was part of the Screenwriters Association, I have registered the script there also, in November 2023. I have all the evidence. I have pictures, scripts, sketches. I am filing a case against this film. The film is good, but they have misused my work. The film was cinema entertainment, but they made it political propaganda.
