Today (May 4), the Indian stock market is bullish on the first trading day of the week amid the results of assembly elections in five states of the country. Sensex is trading at the level of 77,850 with a rise of about 1000 points. Nifty is also up by about 300 points, it is trading beyond the level of 24,250. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 23 are seeing a rise and 7 are seeing a decline. Shares like Maruti, Hindustan Unilever and Adani Ports are seeing a rise of up to 4%. If we talk about the sectoral index of Nifty, except the media sector, all the stocks are seeing a rise. Sectors like auto, FMCG, metal, pharma, government banks and realty are seeing a growth of up to 2%. Main reasons for the rise in the stock market: There was a rise in the Asian market today as well. There was a decline in the American market on May 1. The Indian stock market fell by 583 points on Thursday. Last week on Thursday, April 30, the Sensex fell by 583 points (0.75%). It closed at the level of 76,913. Nifty also declined by 180 points (0.74%), it closed at the level of 23,998. In the business, there was maximum buying in IT shares, while there was maximum selling in metal and government bank shares.
