Eyeing Vaibhav Suryavanshi in yesterday’s IPL match proved costly for New Zealand fast bowler Kyle Jamieson. BCCI has given one demerit point. This action was taken against him under the code of conduct, in which strict action is taken against inappropriate behavior of players.
Actually, an interesting match was played between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals on Friday. Delhi bowler Kyle Jameson had an aggressive celebration after dismissing Suryavanshi and even winked at him. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has taken strict action against this aggressive behavior of Kyle Jamieson.

Code of conduct has been made for players
A code of conduct has been made for IPL players and team officials. For violating Level 1, Kyle has been given demerit points and has also been warned.
Jameson was found to have breached Article 2.5 of the IPL Code of Conduct, which relates to using language, actions or gestures that are demeaning or likely to provoke an aggressive reaction from another player in a match.
Controversy spread on social media
As soon as this incident came to light, it spread rapidly on social media. Cricket lovers criticized this attitude of Jamieson and called it against the spirit of the game. People did not like this kind of behavior especially with a young player.
Jamieson has accepted his mistake, after which he has been advised to exercise restraint in future. Vaibhav Suryavanshi kept himself calm even after the aggressive celebration of Kyle Jameson. He did not give any reaction.
Jameson’s ‘aggressive’ celebration by bowling Suryavanshi
There was a fierce clash between Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Delhi bowler Kyle Jameson in the second over. First Suryavanshi hit a four on his first ball at long off. On the very next ball, Jameson clean bowled Suryavanshi on a dipping full toss.
After taking the wicket, Jameson went to Suryavanshi and celebrated aggressively. He was seen reacting quickly by going very close to the batsman. This behavior was considered against the decorum of the game, as it was likely to provoke the other player.
