Wolves are relegated from the Premier League after West Ham’s draw with Palace, ending an eight-year stay, while Tottenham’s survival hopes hang by a thread.

Relegation had been looming for months. Now, it’s official — Wolverhampton Wanderers are heading down.
A goalless draw between West Ham United and Crystal Palace on Monday mathematically sealed Wolves’ fate, confirming their drop from the Premier League.
With just 17 points from 33 games, Wolves sit 16 points behind safety with only 15 left to play for.
A Season That Never Took Off
Wolves didn’t register their first win until January and have managed just three victories all season.
Ironically, two of those came against high-profile opposition, Aston Villa and Liverpool, but they were mere blips in an otherwise dismal run.
Managerial instability didn’t help. Vitor Pereira began the season in charge but was sacked in November, with Rob Edwards stepping in. The turnaround never came.
Eight-Year Top-Flight Stay Ends
The drop marks the end of an eight-season stint in the Premier League for Wolves, who will now return to the Championship for the first time since 2017-18.
Interim executive Nathan Shi didn’t shy away from the reality.
“Confirmation of our relegation is a difficult moment for everyone connected to Wolves,” he said. “You deserve better and giving you a club you can genuinely be proud of is what drives everything we do from this point forward.”
Survival Fight Intensifies Elsewhere
While Wolves fall, the battle above them tightens.
West Ham’s point edges them two clear of third-bottom Tottenham Hotspur, who remain in deep trouble. Spurs, now under Roberto De Zerbi, are winless in 15 league matches — a run stretching back to December.
They haven’t been relegated since 1977-78, but that record is under serious threat.
Meanwhile, second-bottom Burnley are also on the brink and could join Wolves in the Championship if results don’t go their way.
