Heat has started increasing across the country. The temperature in Barmer, Rajasthan has reached 37.5°C. The temperature in some cities may cross 40°C in the next two weeks. There is a possibility of cloudy sky at some places. In Chhattisgarh, the temperature may reach above 42°C in Bilaspur, Raipur and Durg divisions from April 12. There is a possibility of heat wave like conditions here. Here, in Andhra Pradesh, winds may blow at a speed of 30-40 km/hour along with thunderstorms and lightning for the next 5 days. Whereas in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, the minimum temperature recorded on Thursday (April 9) night was 3.6°C, which is the lowest in April in about 46 years. Today IMD has issued an alert of thunderstorm and lightning in 11 states. Due to weakening of Western Disturbance, the temperature in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh may increase by 4-6°C. Whereas, hot and humid weather will persist in 5 states including Odisha and Tamil Nadu. Weather forecast for the next two days: April 12: Maximum temperatures may increase by 6-8°C in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. An increase of 5-7°C is expected in Bihar and 3-5°C in Chhattisgarh. The weather will be clear in all these states, there is no possibility of rain. April 13: Temperature will increase in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Himachal. Heat will continue to increase in Bihar too, while there is a possibility of heat wave in some areas of Chhattisgarh. The weather will be clear and warm in most parts.
