A 19-year-old youth murdered a 17-year-old minor girl by slitting her throat in the Agraharam area of ​​Cuddapah district of Andhra Pradesh. Police said that the accused had earlier proposed a relationship to the girl, which she had rejected. When the accused came to know that the girl was going to get engaged, he angrily reached her house and attacked her.

The girl was alone at home at the time of the incident, while her parents had gone to work in the fields. On receiving information from neighbours, the family immediately took him to the hospital, but he died on the way. The police have registered a case of murder against the accused Venkateshwarlu and further investigation is underway.
