IPL 2026 Points Table: Rajasthan Royals Go Top After Thriller, Delhi Capitals Continue Winning Start

Rajasthan Royals (RR) climbed to the top of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 points table after a six-run win over Gujarat Titans (GT) in a high-scoring contest at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Saturday, April 4. With two wins in two matches, RR lead the standings on Net Run Rate and maintain a strong early-season start.

Earlier in the day, Delhi Capitals secured a six-wicket win over Mumbai Indians at the Arun Jaitley Stadium to continue their winning run. Chasing 163 on a slow surface, DC lost KL Rahul and Nitish Rana early but recovered through Sameer Rizvi’s 90 off 51 balls.

Pathum Nissanka added 44, while David Miller provided support as DC completed the chase with 11 balls to spare.

Mumbai Indians posted 162/6 after opting to bat, with Suryakumar Yadav scoring 51 and Rohit Sharma making 35. However, the total proved slightly below par.

In the evening game, Rajasthan Royals posted 210/6, led by Dhruv Jurel’s 75 off 42 balls and Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 55. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi added a quick 31 off just 18 balls to push the total past 200.

Gujarat Titans responded well through Sai Sudharsan’s 73 off 44 balls, but finished at 204/8 with Kagiso Rabada giving away just 4 runs in the penultimate over and Tushar Despande defending 11 runs in the final over .
