Jamal Murray made 10 3-pointers, including a stunning half-court heave that beat the first-quarter buzzer, and scored 37 points to lead the Denver Nuggets to a 130-117 victory over the Utah Jazz in the 2025-26 NBA on Wednesday.

“I’m just playing free — that was the biggest thing this whole year. Just been playing free, and my teammates trust me, and I’ve been able to back them up,” Murray said.

Nuggets Beat Jazz 130-117

Nikola Jokic had 17 rebounds, 15 points and 12 assists for his fifth triple-double in six games, helping the Nuggets secure their seventh straight win. Cam Johnson added 19 points, eight rebounds and six assists, while Christian Braun finished with 18 points and six rebounds.

Brice Sensabaugh led Utah with 28 points, including six 3-pointers, and six rebounds. Kyle Filipowski added 25 points and 12 rebounds for the Jazz, who lost their seventh straight game and are 3-19 in their last 22 contests. Kennedy Chandler contributed 16 points and six assists off the bench.

Murray buried 3-pointers on each of Denver’s first three possessions, sparking a 12-0 start and a 17-3 lead. Each of the Nuggets’ first six field goals came from beyond the arc.

Denver went 9 of 18 from 3-point range in the first quarter. Murray hit five 3s in that span, capped by his half-court buzzer-beater that put the Nuggets ahead 39-28 entering the second quarter.

Utah trailed wire-to-wire but cut the deficit to 30-27 late in the first quarter on three straight baskets by Sensabaugh and Filipowski. The Nuggets quickly rebuilt a double-digit lead with a 15-2 run that stretched into the second quarter. Jonas Valanciunas drove for a layup to finish the surge and extend Denver’s lead to 45-29.

The Jazz fell behind by as many as 18 points before trimming the margin to 101-97 on Sensabaugh’s finger-roll layup early in the fourth quarter. Murray and Braun responded with back-to-back baskets, igniting another 15-2 run that allowed Denver to pull away again.
