Prime Minister Narendra Modi had held a high level meeting regarding the Iran war at his residence on March 22.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will talk to all the Chief Ministers through video conferencing tomorrow i.e. on March 27. In this, the circumstances arising due to Iran war can be discussed.
Modi had said in the Rajya Sabha on March 24 that if America-Israel’s war with Iran continues, it will have adverse consequences. The coming times are going to be the biggest test for the country. Cooperation of states is necessary in this. We have to work like Team India.
At the same time, the government has completely rejected the news of shortage of petrol, diesel and LPG (cooking gas) in the country. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas issued a statement saying that no matter what happens in the world, India has 60 days of crude oil and oil reserves.
The government has termed the news of shortage on social media as ‘misleading and deliberate propaganda’, whose purpose is to trigger ‘panic buying’ in the market. The ministry said that action will be taken against those spreading rumors of shortage.
Jaishankar said in the all-party meeting on March 25 – We are not a broker country like Pakistan.
The meeting on the situation in the Middle East lasted for 2 hours under the chairmanship of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.

Now the government has taken these steps regarding the LPG crisis
6 March: A lock-in period of 21 days has been introduced for booking domestic cylinders (ie, the second cylinder will be booked only 21 days after receiving one cylinder).
March 9: As demand increased, the lock-in period in cities was increased to 25 days.
12 March: The gap for cylinder booking for rural areas was increased to 45 days.
14 March: Petroleum Ministry declared it illegal for PNG (piped gas) users to possess LPG cylinders. Now those with PNG connection will have to surrender their cylinders and will not be able to get refilling done.
Oil and gas supply affected due to Iran war
Today is the 27th day of Israel and America’s war with Iran. Due to corrosion, oil and gas supply from the Strait of Hormuz is affected. India imports 50% of its crude oil and 54% of its LNG requirement through this route.
The Strait of Hormuz is a 167 km long waterway that connects the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea. 20% of the world’s total petroleum passes through here. Due to Iran war this route is no longer safe. In view of the danger, no oil tanker is passing through there.
The closure or strain of this route immediately affects oil prices, as a large part of the world depends on it for its energy needs. Countries like Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Kuwait also depend on it for their exports. Iran itself exports through this route.
