नेपाल में तेल का ‘झटका’, 15 रुपये लीटर महंगा हुआ पेट्रोल-डीजल, महीने भर में दूसरी बार बढ़ीं कीमतें


The impact of the war that has been going on in the Middle East for the last one month is now visible on the countries of South Asia as well. Due to the continuous increase in the prices of crude oil in the international market, the prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene have once again been increased in Nepal.

Nepal Oil Corporation has increased the price of petrol and diesel by 15 Nepali rupees per liter. The new rates have been implemented from Wednesday midnight.

According to the new prices, the price of petrol has become Rs 184.50 per liter in the first category areas, Rs 186 per liter in the second category and Rs 187 per liter in the third category. Whereas the price of diesel and kerosene has been increased to Rs 164.50 per liter in the first category, Rs 166 in the second category and Rs 167 per liter in the third category.

Nepal Oil Corporation said that due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, the prices of petroleum products are continuously increasing in the international market. The corporation also said that it has suffered a loss of about 5 billion Nepali rupees in the last 15 days, due to which it became necessary to increase the prices.

The corporation also clarified that the new prices have been fixed on the basis of the latest rate list received from the Indian Oil Corporation and it has not been possible to fix the prices as per the fully automated pricing system.

Let us tell you that this is the second time within a month that fuel prices have been increased in Nepal. Due to continuous increase in prices, the possibility of impact on common people, transport sector and inflation has increased.
