Uttar Pradesh News: Vinod Shankar Awasthi, BJP MLA from Dhaurahara, Lakhimpur Kheri, gave a statement in a public program regarding development works and personal expenses, the video of which is going viral. The MLA told that some youths stopped him near Semaria village and advised him to ‘look like an MLA’ and walk ‘with dignity’. Impressed by this statement of the youth, he stopped the construction work of his new house and bought two cars. According to the MLA, one of these vehicles is new and the other is second hand. He clarified that the stoppage of his personal construction work has nothing to do with the public’s development work and the development is continuing uninterrupted.
The youth said- MLA, let’s go in ‘Roule’.
Giving clarification on the viral video, MLA Vinod Shankar Awasthi said that when he was going to Katauli, some boys stopped him. The boys said that he does not look like an MLA and he should walk with full ‘Bhaukaal’ because the public has elected him for this glory. The MLA considered the views of these youth as paramount and decided that he would bring about a change in his lifestyle. He said that he wants to learn something from every person.
The plan of the house remained intact, the vehicles arrived
The MLA revealed that the map he had made for his house has been postponed for the time being. Instead of building a house, he gave priority to cars because the cover of his old car had melted. He has taken one vehicle for Dhaurahra area and one for himself. The MLA said in a joking tone that the houses will now be built only after the elections. However, he also added that his statement was being distorted, while he was only fulfilling the wishes of the public.
Clarification given on development works
When ‘Aaj Tak’ questioned him after the video went viral, the MLA insisted that the development of the area has not stopped anywhere. Giving credit for development to Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Yogi, he said that government development works are going on continuously. He said that ‘not building houses’ is the only development work which he could not complete, but it has nothing to do with public development. At present, the MLA’s argument of ‘car love’ and ‘food time’ has become a topic of discussion in the district.
