IIT Roorkee has published the complete schedule for JEE Advanced 2026, set for May 17, 2026. The exam will be held in two sessions on the same day: Paper 1 from 9 AM to 12 PM and Paper 2 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Candidates must attend both papers to be included in the merit list.

Registration for JEE Advanced 2026 will open on April 23 and close on May 2, 2026. Foreign nationals can start applying on April 6. Applications must be submitted via the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. This year, JEE Advanced scores will also be used for admissions to IISc Bangalore, in addition to IITs.

JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, candidates must rank within the top 250,000 in JEE Main 2026 Paper 1. To find out the marks required to qualify for JEE Advancedstudents should first identify their category and then look up the necessary marks for their category. The National Testing Agency (NTA) announces the qualifying cutoff for JEE Advanced after the results are published. Meanwhile, students can refer to previous years’ trends to estimate the minimum marks and percentile needed.

Eligible candidates may register for up to two consecutive attempts and must have completed their Class 12 exams in 2025 or 2026 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Those previously admitted to an IIT cannot apply.

JEE Advanced Application Fees

The registration fees for JEE Advanced are as follows:

– Female candidates of all categories: Rs 1600

– SC, ST, and PwD (Divyang) candidates: Rs 1600

– All other candidates: Rs 3200

– OCI/PIO (India) candidates:

– Female candidates (GEN and GEN-PwD): Rs 1600

– Open (GEN-PwD): Rs 1600

– Open (GEN): Rs 3200

– Foreign nationals and OCI/PIO (Abroad) candidates:

– Candidates residing in SAARC countries: US$ 100

– Candidates residing in non-SAARC countries: US$ 200

The JEE Advanced exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. Candidates are encouraged to take mock tests available in the “Resources” section of the website, jeeadv.ac.in to familiarise themselves with the online format.

Admit cards will be available for download from May 11 to May 17, 2026. Candidates must bring a printed copy of their admit card and a valid ID to the exam centre; soft copies will not be accepted.
