A video of star Golden State Warriors point guard Steph Curry has gone viral on social media, where he looks visibly frustrated as Draymond Green goes on a rant after an NBA game.
A clip shared by Instagram user @/benson926 shows Curry, dressed in street clothes, sitting on the bench during a timeout in Saturday’s 129-101 defeat to the Los Angeles Lakers at Chase Centre.
As Green addresses teammates nearby, Curry appears disengaged, not showing any interest in the discussion. Watch the video here:
Many on social media took the video as a sign that Curry may be growing weary of Green’s antics. The pair have been teammates since 2013 and central to the dominance of the Warriors, but the latter has faced criticism for inconsistent performances and recurring on-court lapses in discipline.
Curry has backed Green and there is no clear sign that their relationship is under strain. But the former has hinted that he can grow frustrated when Green lets his temper flare and this video may capture one of those fleeting moments.
Green’s name surfaced in trade rumours around the deadline as well, with reports suggesting the Warriors could revisit that possibility in the offseason. This season, Green is averaging 8.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.1 assists per match for the Warriors.
Meanwhile, the team confirmed on Sunday, March 1, that Curry will be sidelined for the next 10 days, ruling him out of at least five more matches. He has already missed the Warriors’ previous 10 games.
“I am feeling better. This is a weird one. It is kinda unpredictable how it will heal, but every day since All-Star Weekend, it has been progressing. That is all I can ask for. Hopefully, I will be back out there soon,” Curry said while speaking to ESPN.
