The death of 25-year-old Gaurav alias Gauru of Sirsa in Malaysia has become a mystery. The family is raising suspicion on Gaurav’s wife Amarjeet Kaur. He says that the last proper conversation with Gaurav was on January 18. The very next day, information was received on phone from Malaysia that Gaurav had committed suicide.

Left for Malaysia the very next day of the wedding The arranged marriage of Gaurav and Amarjeet Kaur took place on 14 July 2024. The very next day both of them left for Malaysia. The very next day of the marriage, both of them went from Sirsa to Thailand on tourist visa. From there reached Malaysia by bus. Amarjeet Kaur’s maternal uncle’s son already lived there and had other relatives.
On the way, came to know that Amarjeet is blacklisted in Malaysia. According to family members, during checking on the way, it was found that Amarjeet Kaur was already blacklisted in Malaysia. She went to Malaysia on tourist visa in the year 2021. She remained there even after the visa expired. When she was caught, she was blacklisted. Amarjeet had hidden this thing from Gaurav and his in-laws. There was a lot of fighting regarding this matter. Then the family members explained and finally both agreed.
Got work in burger shop and security company In Malaysia, Amarjeet Kaur got a job in a burger shop and Gaurav got a job in a security company. Due to Gaurav getting work, his visa got extended. Being a couple, Amarjeet also kept working. Now he too was in no danger.

NGO transported deadbody from Malaysia After the incident, Malaysia Police conducted postmortem of Gaurav’s body and declared the cause of death as suicide. The family could not go to Malaysia. The family contacted the members of Gurughar built in Shah Alam city of Malaysia and the NGO there. The NGO itself transported the deadbody from Malaysia to Sirsa after the last rites.
The family could not get the postmortem done again On January 27, Gaurav’s body reached Chauburja village. The family refused to remove the body from the ambulance and demanded a second postmortem. DSP Raj Singh, Nathusari police station in-charge, City police station in-charge and police forces were present on the spot. Sirsa MLA Gokul Setia had talked to DC and SP on phone and demanded postmortem. The doctors referred him to Agroha Hospital, but then the family took the body and performed the last rites.
Nathusari police station in-charge said that the police is ready for full cooperation. This was an international matter. Malaysian police had conducted postmortem and declared it a suicide. Initially the family was not satisfied with this.

There are marks on the neck and foam is coming out of the mouth. In such a situation, there is suspicion of killing by poisoning. The family has called it murder.
- Did not tell why and where he committed suicide: Sonu told that Amarjeet Kaur did not tell how and where Gaurav committed suicide and why. He did not even tell what caused the suicide. She neither attended the funeral nor came to her in-laws’ house.
- Told the family not to take my name: According to Sonu, Amarjeet called on the day of the incident and informed that Gaurav had committed suicide. When someone asks, say that there was a fight going on with the family, but don’t take my name. Amarjeet Kaur has also not told anything clearly to the family nor has the Malaysia Police contacted the family.
- Wife returned to India 2 days ago: Sonu told that Gaurav’s wife Amarjeet Kaur, instead of coming with the body, returned to India alone two days ago and went to her maternal home in Sirsa. He had received a call from the Embassy that Gaurav’s wife had clarified her allegations and left Malaysia alone. The body is still there, you try to get it soon.
