Music composer and filmmaker Palash Muchhal has been accused of fraud of Rs 40 lakh. Actor and producer Vidnyan Mane, resident of Sangli district of Maharashtra, has complained to the police. In the complaint, it has been said that money was taken in the name of the film project and not returned. At present the police have not registered the FIR and preliminary investigation is going on. According to police officials, Vidnyan Mane on Tuesday applied to Sangli SP demanding registration of FIR against Palash Muchhal. According to the complaint, Palash Muchhal and Vidyan Mane met in Sangli on December 5, 2023. During this time Mane had expressed his desire to invest in film production. It is alleged that Palash Muchhal had offered to invest as a producer in his upcoming film ‘Nazariya’. Mane alleges that Muchhal had said that after the release of the film on the OTT platform, he would get a profit of Rs 12 lakh on an investment of Rs 25 lakh. Along with this, he was also offered a role in the film. Both of them met twice more after this. Till March 2025, Vidyan Mane gave a total of Rs 40 lakh to Palash Muchhal in different installments. The film was not completed, the money was not returned. According to Mane, the film project was not completed. When he asked for his money back he did not get any response. After this he contacted Sangli police and lodged a complaint. Police officials said that FIR has not been registered in the case yet. Based on the complaint, preliminary investigation is going on and all the facts are being investigated. Palash was also in the news regarding the breakdown of his marriage with Smriti Mandhana. Earlier, Palash Muchhal was in the news for the breakdown of his marriage with cricketer Smriti Mandhana. The marriage of both of them was fixed for 23 November 2025, which was called off. On the day of the wedding, Smriti Mandhana’s father Srinivas Mandhana fell ill and had to be admitted to the hospital. For this reason the marriage was postponed. After this, Palash Muchhal’s health also deteriorated and he too had to go to the hospital, due to which the marriage was postponed.
