A cylinder filled with helium gas for balloons exploded during the Thenpennai River Festival at Manalurpettai in Kallakurichi district in Tamil Nadu. One person died and at least 18 people were injured in this accident.
A police officer said that the injured have been admitted to the hospital. The incident happened inside a small shop that sells balloons filled with helium gas.
The festival, called Aatru Thiruvizha in Tamil, is often celebrated in districts like Villupuram, Cuddalore and Kallakurichi on the fifth day of the Tamil month Thai (Thai Poosam), which marks the end of the Pongal harvest festival, drawing crowds.

Minor molests American girl while taking photo in Delhi Metro
A shocking incident of molestation of an American girl while traveling in Delhi Metro has come to light. The victim claims that when a minor asked her to get her photo taken, she agreed. While taking photographs, the minor touched her private parts inappropriately.
