Michael Reagan, the eldest son of former US President Ronald Reagan and a prominent conservative commentator, has died at the age of 80.
The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute confirmed his death in a post on X on Tuesday, describing him as “a steadfast guardian of his father’s legacy.”
“Michael Reagan lived a life shaped by conviction, purpose, and an abiding devotion to President Reagan’s ideals,” the foundation said.
The cause of his death has not been disclosed yet.
Reagan was a regular contributor to the conservative Newsmax television network and was widely known for hosting his talk radio programme, “The Michael Reagan Show”.
