Now the makers are preparing to release its second part in 2026. Seeing the success of this strategy, now Shahrukh Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are planning to release their film in two parts.

According to the report of Bollywood Hungama, there is a serious discussion going on in the camp of Shahrukh Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali on the release strategy of both the films. Shahrukh Khan’s ‘King’ and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love and War’ are mega budget films, whose expenditure has gone much more than the plan. Inspired by the tremendous success of ‘Dhurandhar’, both the makers are considering dividing their films into two parts and releasing them in a gap of less than 6 months.

The report says that Bhansali’s most awaited ‘Love and War’ may release in August 2026 and January 2027. Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal are in lead roles in this film. At the same time, Shahrukh Khan’s ‘King’ can hit the big screens in September 2026 and March 2027. However, these are just initial talks. No final decision has been taken yet.

Let us tell you that this trend is not new in Bollywood. Earlier, films like ‘Bahubali’, ‘Pushpa’, ‘KGF’, ‘Drishyam’, ‘Gadar’ and Hrithik Roshan’s superhero franchise ‘Krrish’ have been released in 2-3 parts, but there has been a lot of difference in the release dates of these films. ‘Border 2’ will be released in theaters on January 23, 2026, on the Republic Day weekend. The film is the sequel to the 1997 blockbuster ‘Border’.
