Actor Varun Dhawan shared his childhood experiences related to Operation Sindoor and the film Border during the song Ghar Kab Aaoge launch of the film Border 2 on Friday.

During the event, Varun said that just like Sunny Deol watched the film Haqeeqat in his childhood and got inspired, similarly he also watched the film Border in his childhood. That film instilled in him a deep respect for the Indian Armed Forces. He said that it was then that the desire arose in his heart that one day he too would play the role of fighting for the country in uniform.

Varun said that Border was not just a film, but it inspired courage, enthusiasm and confidence in the entire country. That film showed how strong and powerful a country India is. He said that he never dreamed that he would ever be a part of the Border franchise, or be associated with a project like Border 2.

Varun said that while standing on the stage, when he saw the posters of Operation Sindoor all around, he realized that even though our country is a country of peace, brotherhood and love, sometimes it is very important to make films like Border. Through such films, the youth of the country are told that our country has courage and passion. If anyone looks at our land in a bad light, we know how to respond.

Referring to the 1971 war, he said that when India can give freedom to another country, it can also fight for its own freedom and honour.

During the program, at the end, Varun also recited a dialogue from the film, “This time we will not only enter the border, we will change the border itself.” The audience clapped loudly as soon as the dialogue was heard.

In fact, last year the biggest terrorist attack took place in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. On April 22, 25 tourists and one local were killed by terrorists in Pahalgam.
