The film Dhurandhar maintained a strong hold at the box office for four weeks, after which its pace seems to be slowing down slightly in the fifth week. On the fifth Friday of its theatrical release, the film’s one-day earning fell below Rs 10 crore for the first time.

The film collected Rs 8.75 crore, which is considered a decline compared to its consistently strong figures so far. However, according to trade experts, such slowdown is considered normal in long running films.

Currently, Dhurandhar is running on around 3,800 screens in India, but after Dharmendra’s last film Ikkis released on January 1, its screens have started decreasing.

India Today, quoting sources in its report, has said that both the films Dhurandhar and Ikkis have been backed by Jio Studios. In such a situation, almost 50 percent of the screens of Dhurandhar have been given to Agastya Nanda starrer film Ikkis.

Ikkis is Dharmendra’s last film, in the film Dharmendra played the role of Arun Khetrapal’s (Agastya Nanda) father.

The film Ikkis stars Agastya Nanda in the lead role, while Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat also play important roles in it. Released on January 1, the film earned Rs 7 crore on the first day. However, on the second day its collection declined by about 50 percent and the film earned Rs 3.5 crore. In this way, the total domestic net collection of the film in two days was Rs 10.5 crore.

At the same time, the total collection of Dhurandhar in India has now reached Rs 747.75 crore. Globally, the film has already overtaken the lifetime earnings of blockbuster films like Pathan (Rs 1,055 crore) and Jawan (Rs 1,160 crore). The film has grossed approximately Rs 1,162.25 crore worldwide.

In the film Dhurandhar, Ranveer Singh played the role of an Indian spy named Hamza.

Dhurandhar was released in theaters on 5 December. Let us tell you that apart from Ranveer Singh, Akshay Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R. Artists like Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi and Danish Pandor have worked. The makers have also fixed the release date of its sequel Dhurandhar 2, which will hit the theaters on March 19.
